2019 ANNUAL BANQUET AWARDEES
The fire department holds an annual banquet in January to recognize the efforts of its members in serving the community the previous year. Each year, a Firefighter of the Year award is presented to the firefighter that went above and beyond the normal expectations and a Most Incidents award for the firefighter making the greatest number of alarms the previous year.
Additionally, service awards are presented in five-year increments to those members achieving 20, 25, 30, 35 etc. years of continuous service. Members reach Honorary Life Member status after achieving 20 years of active service. Below are some pictures of the 2019 awardees and their achievements. Firefighter of the Year: Glenn Miller, preparing for Firefighter II certification, taking Advanced Vehicle Rescue and being appointed Fire Chief at his workplace. Glenn is the current Truck Captain and has been a firefighter since 2013.
Most Incidents: William "Bill" Zaverl
[second year in row] for answering the call to duty 254 times in 2018 [62.8%]. He was a former President, Vice President, Trustee, Line Officer and Fire Chief. Bill is currently the Relief Assoc. Secretary.
2019 Annual Service Awards
Daniel Emanuel for achieving 45 years of service with the department. Dan is an Honorary Life member and was a former Vice President.
Also receiving an award:
Robert "Bob" Liberty for thirty five  years of service. Bob was a former Line Officer and long-standing Fire Chief.
Brandon Todd for achieving 25 years of service with the department. Brandon is the Assistant Chief and was a former Fire Chief and President.

Conducting the Bell Ceremony in honor of deceased firefighter Darryl O. Hull are (l-r): David Hauger, Barry Smith and Brandon Todd. Darryl passed away in January 2018 with 45 years of service in the department.
